RING.
This is a two finger floating pyramid stud ring that i made last week(:
it was super easy to make, and i love it.
I originally saw one on shopnastygal.com for 18USD, and i really wanted it, but with me living in NZ and the exchange rate, including postage it would have cost me arou 40NZD. which sucks.
SO i was sooooo happy when isaw a diy on how to make one at

Retro Rave...
the title is a little misleading, we weren't very retro-y. These are a couple of photos at coco's house before the rave. I'm wearing the creamy yellow top (check out the back -- it's awesome) & coco's wearing the striped singlet and geek glasses. We went in with Tyree and Krysti, the other two girls in the photos and even though it wasn't the best rave i've been to it was still heaps of fun!

wearable arts 09
I was looking through my photo's and i came across these ones from our school's wearable arts last year. this is Me&Rose of course & yes Rose is pulling a weird facial but it's the only one i could find of both of us in a full outfit shot. So my outfit is one that i made, and it took FOREVER to collect all those lolly wrappers haha. The bodice is made out of a supre bag and lollipop wrappers, kind of a corset, tied together with coke can tabs and ribbon. the skirt is seperate and is a cotton potato sack with purple plastic bags. And the two wrap around pieces are just lolly wrappers and supre bags tied on at the side.
and Rose's dress was made by Herself and our friend Tsehai. It was paper mashéd (idk how to spell it but you get the idea), with woven magazine strips on the top, and petals on the skirt. The waist band is lots of long plaited wool.

tribal vibes!
the result of two very bored girls, an inspiring polyvore set and pete's emporium.
the set. Okay I just have to say, I really wish I had the sandals in this set and the Wet Seal Dress. They're are both so cute. Anyway, this is a set I made on www.polyvore.com I made it a while ago but only got round to publishing it yesterday morning. I was sitting at home with nothing to do staring at this set and not wanting to toot myown horn or anything I was thinking how awesome this looked. (All the photo's were just perfect together, and I've already told you about how much I loved the shoes and dress.) I was just looking at these photos and felt so inspired to actually do something with my day. The warrior girls in the top left corner were so pretty and awesome looking, I loved the giant feathery mask, below it. The girl with the Polaroid was cute. I loved the anklet feet in the water and the curly hair! I was so hyped up to do something and normally these feelings go to waste I realize I have no money, no one to it with. But along came my Coco and the day went as followed...
The shoot. Pete's Emporium, I think I can say our new favorite shop. We brought loads of native american/tribal gear and headed back to my house where we set up. Made the head bands with the feathers, dressed up. Robed my brother into taking a few photos. And then basically got our model on. I'm going to try to remember what we were wearing.
rose wears.
denim jacket. glassons
cotton button up dress. edc
black lace cropped singlet. antz pantz
skirt. Coco original
blue flats. warehouse
assortment of rings
assortment of bracelets
assortment of anklets
coco wears.
brown tank. american apparel
zebra print shirt. supre
floral skirt. glassons
studded tights. cotton on
tan ankle boots. k-mart
small leather bag. recycle boutique
assortment of bangles
we also alternated between our head band with feathers (which we made), the native american headdress, and my feathery mask I wore to the last rave.
awesome day.

After Dark
Today was FREEZING. Me & tsehai went into town yesterday, and i got those footless tights in the picture for $5 as well as some other ones, and some grey leggings. We got that leopard material for $10 a metre, so we got a metre and split it in half and overlocked the edges thus making a totally epic scarf only costing $5 :)
today, mum was going into town again for work, so me and Tsehai decided to go again.
i got that black shimmery nail polish, which i love.
excuse my crap nail-polishing. I dont usually paint my nails.
We also got a Kohl eyeliner pencil in iced jade, which was on sale for $3 down frorm $7, buy one get one free, so only costing us $1.50 each.
go us we rock.
now im broke.
wooopeeeee.

camping.
it's funny because I was looking through old posts and there was one about wanting to go camping and at the time, it was like one of those theory ideas. Anyway a few days ago we actually did go camping at Imogen's house! So many photos were taken and they all looked awesome, but I don't have enough time to put them all on so here are some of the best!
(left to right) Tsehai Stewart, Krysti Kelly, Coco, Imogen Donnelly-Lawrence, Sarah Graham, Gemma Pym, Tyree Gunn, Rose!
Business Like.
okay I have a job. Not really a proper one but I'm selling my Uncle's Art cards to art galleries and gift shops around Wellington. My uncle, Evan Barraclough, paints scenes of wellington, and I really like them because they remind me of Summer. But anyway, My auntie who organised all this and my mum have been like to me you have to dress more sophisticated and business like so this morning I went out shopping with my mum and for the first time in ages she actually brought things for. New shoes, black flats (because if I'm walking around wellington all day I have to wear comfortable shoes) & this awesome Blazer. It's was from savemart (an op-shop) and it was only like $19.99. I really love it and the best part is I can wear it casually as well.
